Motion

How long after paying do I get my key?

As soon as the bank confirms, the key appears on the payment page - usually within a minute. It is also emailed to the address you entered, as your copy.

How many machines can one plan run on?

Two. Same Google account, same catalogue - you do not copy the asset library across to the second machine by hand.

When the licence expires, do I lose what I downloaded?

No. What you downloaded stays on your machine and keeps working. Expiry only stops new assets arriving.

Will I be charged automatically each month?

No. Payment is a QR bank transfer, no card is stored, and nothing renews itself. To carry on, you buy again yourself.

Is MoFX really free?

Yes. No licence key, no limit on machines, no cut-down edition. The email you leave is used only to announce new versions.

How do I use it?

On Windows the palette and every message appear right at the mouse cursor, instead of jumping to the middle of the screen.

How do I install it?

Unzip the file you just downloaded, then:

Windows - double-click Win\MoFX-Setup.exe
macOS - double-click Mac/MoFX-Setup.command

Then restart Premiere Pro or After Effects.

My system blocks the installer.

That is expected - the software is not code-signed yet:

Windows SmartScreen - click More info, then Run anyway.
macOS - right-click the file, choose Open, then Open again. If it reports a permission problem, run chmod +x MoFX-Setup.command once.

Cmd + Space is my Spotlight shortcut.

The installer asks whether you want to hand that key to MoFX. Keep Spotlight and MoFX uses Option + Space instead.

Change it any time in System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts → App Shortcuts, entry MoFX (Popup).

Does it work in After Effects?

Yes. The shortcut is Ctrl + Space, or Ctrl + Alt + Space if FX Console is installed. If another app already holds that key, MoFX switches to Ctrl + Shift + Space and tells you once. MoFX runs in both Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Does uninstalling lose my presets?

No, the uninstaller keeps your presets.

Report it on the problem report page. Say that you are using MoFX so the report lands in the right queue.

Does one plan cover both After Effects and Premiere Pro?

Yes. Each plan activates 2 machines, and on each machine it runs in both After Effects and Premiere Pro.

Does a MoLib key unlock MoTools?

No. MoTools and MoLib are separate products, each with its own key.

How does the trial work?

Get the MoExtension app, sign in with Google and start the MoTools trial there. The trial lasts 7 days, once per machine and per account.

What do I need?

After Effects or Premiere Pro 2024 (24.0) or later, on Windows 10 / 11 or macOS 12 and later. Imports from Illustrator, Photoshop 2024 or later.

How soon do I get my key after paying?

As soon as the bank confirms, the key appears on the payment page, usually within a few dozen seconds. It is also sent to the email you entered, as a backup.

Where do I report a problem?

Send it on the report page and pick MoTools.

When does it go on sale?

As soon as Premiere Pro testing is done. The buy buttons on this page will switch on.
